What is this Comfusion Summer Edition all about?

Don’t get us wrong, we love our cosy autumn weekend. But this time, we want to bring a lively, spicy summer edition with Afro and Latino influences. For this event, our teachers and DJs will focus on creating a space where we can explore and celebrate Afro-Latin dance concepts that can inspire our fusion dancing. We also want to be very clear: we deeply respect and honour Afro-Latin heritage. Our goal is not to imitate or appropriate these cultures, but to learn from them and celebrate them with gratitude and care.

Workshops on Saturday and Sunday
Our workshop days begin by grounding the body through individual and group dance classes, opening up musicality and personal expression, while honoring culture and celebrating the joy of being together. From there, we move into fusion partner dance workshops with Mark and Taylor, focusing on Afro-Latin dance concepts.

Evening programme

• Friday starts gently with an informal get-together in the park: music, movement and conversations surrounded by summer air.
• Saturday we turn it up with a big party on a boat, dancing together at the dock of Brussels’ canal.
• Sunday closes the weekend with an early party, letting us finish strong and still land softly, wrapping up by midnight.

Musically, our DJs will keep things rich: 50% Afro, Latin, and Afro-Latin sounds, and 50% DJ’s choice.

• Friday evening:
Parc du Cinquantenaire, under the arches

• For the workshops (Saturday and Sunday):

(!! Dance shoes only with a soft leather sole, or if wearing big socks over the shoes !!)

• Saturday party (on a boat that stays at the dock):
